Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Independence, MO. You will support pharmacists, process prescriptions, and interact with customers to build strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of retail experience.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Prefer basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with cashiers.
• Deliver a positive, distinctive customer experience.
• Support inventory management, ordering and receiving of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and the Walgreens Code of Conduct.
