Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Huntley, IL. You will assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions, and engage customers to deliver a caring, accurate pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Retail experience preferred (6 months) or pharmacy experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.
• Good math skills to ensure accurate prescriptions and counts.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing medications and processing prescriptions.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and enter data.
• Assist in customer service, cashier duties, and cash handling.
• Support inventory management and ensure accuracy of Rx records and billing.
