Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles toward patient-centric care. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll interact with customers and build strong patient relationships while receiving training through the ASHP & Department of Labor–recognized apprenticeship program.

The program prepares you to become a PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician, with access to resources, mentorship, and development to advance in pharmacy services within Walgreens clinics and stores.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and pharmacy duties.
• Process prescriptions, check for errors, and support cashiers at the register.
• Maintain inventory and assist with pharmacy systems and patient information.
• Deliver courteous customer service and build relationships with patients.
