Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles toward patient-centric care. As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you’ll engage customers, assist pharmacists, and participate in an ASHP/DoL‑recognized apprenticeship that leads toward PTCB certification.

New hires gain hands-on training, develop clinical skills, and build relationships with patients while using advanced pharmacy systems and technology.

Qualifications

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills and basic pharmacy systems knowledge.
• Prefer PTCB certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients, greeting them and assisting with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Assists the pharmacist by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
• Handles clerical duties, cash handling, and basic store operations under supervision.
