Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the front line with customers, building strong patient relationships and delivering care. The program offers hands-on training and an ASHP/DOL–recognized apprenticeship pathway toward PTCB certification.

New and experienced technicians will receive training to use the latest technology, support from the Pharmacy team, and opportunities to advance in the pharmacy care field.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify medicines and check for interactions.
• Assist with inventory management and related clerical duties.
