Job summary

Walgreens is transforming to a patient-centered pharmacy technician role where you will interact with customers and build relationships. The apprenticeship pathway supports becoming PTCB certified and advancing in a care-driven setting. You will train to use pharmacy systems and assist pharmacists under supervision.

The program emphasizes service excellence, accuracy in dispensing, and collaboration with clinicians and store teams to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Good computer skills.
Knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Under pharmacist supervision, assist in pharmacy practice per state/federal policies.
Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; assist with cashiers and operations.
Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy and interactions.
Deliver a distinctive customer experience and support team members.
Assist with inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and stocking of pharmaceuticals.
