Job summary

Walgreens Co. is introducing a patient-centered Pharmacy Technician role and an apprenticeship path designed to help you become a certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB). You will work closely with the pharmacist, assist with prescriptions, and engage customers to deliver superior service.

The program emphasizes training with real-world pharmacy systems, cash handling, and inventory management, preparing you for certification and career growth within Walgreens’ pharmacy network.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior experience with Walgreens is a plus.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in medication dispensing and related duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience and build patient relationships.
• Support inventory management, cash handling, and store operations as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or Store Manager.
• Assist in coordination of clinical services and interactions with healthcare providers.
