The Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program offers an earned-learning pathway toward PTCB certification, with ongoing education and hands-on practice to meet certification standards.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• PTCB certification training pathway described in the program.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Develops strong relationships with valuable customers.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in the practice of pharmacy and enter patient and drug information.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications and verify accuracy.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow policies.
