The program guides you toward PTCB certification while you gain hands-on experience with modern pharmacy systems and support from the Walgreens team.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience is preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Good computer skills are preferred.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is preferred.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing medications and entering patient and drug information.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with third-party claims when needed.
• Maintain a positive customer experience by greeting customers and answering questions.
• Support pharmacy operations including inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and stock control.
• Assist in coordinating clinical services and liaising with healthcare providers as required.
• Handle cash registers and cashiering duties and ensure compliance with store policies.
