Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the center of patient care, interacting with customers and building strong patient relationships.

The role supports the pharmacist and uses pharmacy systems to handle prescriptions, while contributing to an excellent customer experience. The Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program offers an earn-while-you-learn path, aiming to certify as a PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math, counting, measuring and weighing of medications.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and support cashiers on the register.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
