Job summary

Walgreens is hiring Pharmacy Technician or Technician Apprentice in New York. You will interact with customers, support pharmacists, and learn through an earned-while-you-learn training program recognized by ASHP & the Department of Labor.

The role emphasizes patient relationships, accurate prescription handling, and using pharmacy systems under supervision. The position includes training, certification support, and opportunities for career growth in a community pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy operations.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers, resolve issues, greet and assist with products and services.
• Maintain compliance with Pharmacy Code of Conduct and company policies.
• Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of medications.
• Participate in training to obtain and maintain PTCB certification.
