Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice to join a patient-centric team. You will assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions, and help maintain an excellent customer experience while learning through Walgreens’ training program recognized by ASHP & DOL.

Prospective technicians will grow with us, supported by the latest technology and a path toward PTCB certification, with opportunities to engage in clinical services and collaboration with local healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Handle cash and operate the cash register; assist in OTC product location.
• Support pharmacy inventory management and ordering.
