Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions, and provide friendly customer service while learning through our ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship program.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience, training, and development toward PTCB certification, with opportunities to work and learn in a supportive Walgreens environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medications; verify accuracy and check for interactions.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and support cashiers at the register as needed.
• Develop and maintain a positive, proactive customer experience; greet customers and offer help.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
