Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills and inventory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision and use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and coordinating workflow.
• Report prescription errors to the on-duty pharmacist and follow Company policies on dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle cash register operations and assist customers to OTC aisles when possible.
• Process (correct and resubmit) manual third-party claims and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Assist with inventory management: ordering, unpacking, stock checks, and reporting discrepancies.
• Assist with clinical services and coordination with Walgreens clinics and external providers as required.
• Build relationships with local medical communities through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain a clean, orderly Pharmacy Department and support department maintenance tasks.
