Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions, and engage with customers to build strong patient relationships.

Ideal candidates have retail experience, math and computer skills, and a willingness to learn through our earn-while-you-learn program. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills to count, measure and weigh medications.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and entering patient and drug information.
• Process prescriptions and handle cash/ register transactions.
• Deliver a distinctive, customer-focused experience and build patient relationships.
• Support pharmacy department with inventory management and stock control.
• Participate in training to maintain PTCB certification and ongoing education.
