Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the frontline of patient care, interacting with customers and helping build strong patient relationships. The program offers an earn-while-you-learn pathway and training to become PTCB-certified, supported by ASHP and the Department of Labor.

You will learn through courses and on-the-job experiences to prepare for certification.

Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
Prior Walgreens experience is preferred.
Good math and computer skills; knowledge of store inventory control is a plus.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Engage customers and patients, greet and assist with products and services, resolve issues.
Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Potentially assist in administering clinical services and coordinating with health providers.
