Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice to join our patient-centric team in Michigan. You will assist pharmacists, process prescriptions, and deliver exceptional customer service while learning through an ASHP & Department of Labor–recognized program.

You’ll develop clinical skills, pursue PT​CB certification, and gain experience with modern pharmacy technology. This role emphasizes interaction with patients and supports ongoing staff development and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision and in accordance with regulations.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Assist in pharmacy duties under pharmacist supervision and follow company policy.
• Handle cash register duties and assist customers with OTC products.
• Support inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
