Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Michigan to join a patient‑centric team. You will interact with customers, develop strong patient relationships, and support the pharmacy with the latest technology and processes.

The company offers an earn‑while‑you‑learn training program recognized by ASHP & Department of Labor, guiding you toward PTCB certification and ongoing skill development to advance in pharmacy care.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
Prior Walgreens experience (preferred).
Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications and check for interactions.
Maintain a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Assist with cashier operations and handle related clerical duties.
Support pharmacy inventory management and coordination of clinical services as required.
