PeaceHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Ambulatory for a full-time role in the Northwest. The incumbent will assist pharmacists, manage refills, and participate in outreach to improve care within the ambulatory network.

Required: high school diploma and an accredited Pharmacy Technician program, plus 1 year ambulatory experience and national/state certifications. Relocation to WA/OR/AK may be necessary. Competitive benefits offered.

PeaceHealth is seeking aPharmacy Technician Ambulatory for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to Washington, Oregon, or Alaska to be considered.

The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $26.11 - $39.17.

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Continuously exemplifies the mission, values and customer service philosophy of PeaceHealth in job performance and in relationships to others. Performs technical job functions that assist the pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical and clinical care. Job functions are product related.

Essential Functions

• Scope of work will be executed across the assigned network and support the broader collaboration.
• All work must be performed and checked under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Participates in refill management and prior authorization services across the assigned network.
• Supports patient outreach and services to improve value-based measure outcomes.
• Participates in other clinical services as requested by management.
• Handles nonprofessional phone calls from patients, provider offices and staff.
• Inspects medications for outdates in patient care area Pyxis stations as assigned.
• Participates in quality improvement activities as requested by management.
• Participates in educational in-services as requested by management.
• Promotes a safety-conscious work environment.
• Maintains assigned work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
• Must pass written and video competencies assigned by Pharmacy leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma Required: and
• Accredited Program Required: Pharmacy Technician from a Pharmacy Commission-approved technician training program (or fully licensed in WA state or OR state prior to 2009)

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year Required: experience in ambulatory-related work (i.e. retail, refill processing, prior authorization processing, clinic, etc.) and
• Preferred: Experience with Excel and Word

Credentials

• Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician - National and
• Required: Certified Pharmacy Tech - Washington Certified Pharmacy Technician in state(s) you will be working.

Working Conditions

Lifting

• Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.

• Lift/Carry: Occasionally up to 30 lbs.
• Push/Pull: Occasionally up to 14 lbs. force.

Environmental Conditions

• Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.

• Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
