Job summary

Marshall Medical Center in Placerville, CA is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Services team. Under supervision, you will assist in dispensing medications, stocking shelves, and preparing IV additives in collaboration with Clinical Pharmacists across acute care, transitional care, oncology and home care areas.

Ideal candidates hold a California Pharmacy Technician License and are prepared to obtain PTCB certification within one year.

Qualifications

Current California Pharmacy Technician License is required upon hire.
PTCB Certification required within one year of hire.
Six months experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an acute care hospital pharmacy preferred.
Knowledge of medications and use, ability to read physician orders and familiarity with medical terminology is required.
Basic High School Chemistry, math, mechanical aptitude, interpersonal communication, and computer aptitude.

Responsibilities

Assist in the operation of the pharmacy by providing accurate, efficient and timely medication supplies to patients.
Support Clinical Pharmacists in providing optimal pharmaceutical therapy in Acute Care, Transitional Care, Oncology and Home Care.
