Schedule: 7on/7off Thursday - Wednesday. 11:00am - 9:00pm. Weekend hours may vary.

Pharmacy Technician Remote Order Entry

Through our remote service, we serve acute-care hospitals and community-based retail pharmacies, providing an opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. This approach offers flexible work schedules, a team environment, and time to focus on patient care.

Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is seeking a highly energetic and clinically oriented pharmacy technician to join our remote pharmacy team. The technician will handle calls from hospital staff and retail patients, assist pharmacists with order entry, and perform related tasks.

This position requires you to work within our licensed pharmacy and not from your home.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Pharmacists and Technicians with daily tasks
  • Handle doctor calls and faxes
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work on projects as requested by the Pharmacy Director
  • Perform order entry as needed
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with medical professionals and customers
  • Understand retail pharmacy operations
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Experience in hospital or retail pharmacy
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Registered or licensed as required by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • National certification preferred
  • 3+ years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred

  • Apply knowledge and skills to standard tasks
  • Learn and apply new information and methods
  • Maintain necessary licenses and certifications
  • Handle routine assignments and resolve some problems
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to quality guidelines
  • Work under moderate supervision with regular review
  • Refer complex issues to supervisor

Anticipated hourly range: $18.10 - $25.98 per hour
