A leading university is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and deliver medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role requires attention to detail and effective communication, as well as relevant experience and certifications mandated by the state. The position offers a shift from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with no weekends or holidays.

Prepares and delivers medications to patients and/or nursing units under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner. Demonstrates the ability to competently work in different (omit) general and specialized areas of pharmacy practice.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: 6 months minimum relevant experience required
License/Certification: Commonwealth of Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration required. CPhT credential through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) orPharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required. For team members hired prior to February 1, 2020, certification as CPhT through NHA or PTCB is required by January 31, 2022.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs.
