Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician-Two for Home Care. The role involves assisting pharmacists with various tasks, including prescription order entry and maintaining an aseptic environment. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and relevant experience.
The Pharmacy Technician-Two (2), Home Care, assists the Home Care Clinical Pharmacist with packaging, manipulative, repetitive, and other non-discretionary tasks. Responsibilities include prescription order entry, refills, obtaining routine clinical information (lab results, history and physical, medication profile, enteral assessment, etc.), maintaining a refill calendar, reviewing dispensing activities, initiating delivery tickets, assembling supplies and drugs, tracking authorizations, running eligibility checks, and aseptic compounding of IV solutions. The technician must maintain an aseptic environment, organize workload, maintain documentation, and complete competencies. Performs other duties as needed.
High School Diploma required. At least one year of experience in hospital pharmacy or similar setting required. Completion of an ASHP-accredited technician training program or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to think critically, perform basic math, manage multiple tasks, organize workload, work under pressure, problem-solve, and pay attention to detail. Ability to distinguish colors, read and write effectively, and discern temperature variances through touch.
California Pharmacy Technician License and certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board are required.
