What the Pharmacy Technician I does at Worldwide

The Pharmacy Technician performs the bulk of study dosing, including dispensing, preparation, and dosing procedures following WCT procedures and study protocols. They work under the supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor or Pharmacist and may be indirectly supervised by the Site Director or Manager, Clinical Study. They are not responsible for supervising others.

What you will do
  1. Attend in-house protocol and Sponsor meetings.
  2. Perform procedures such as pharmacy documentation, dosing, labeling, dispensation, drug accountability, temperature and humidity monitoring, blinding procedures, emergency cart inventory, quarantine of test articles, IV pump training, and staff training on special procedures.
  3. Research, write, and train staff on study-specific pharmacy procedures.
  4. Complete study paperwork and order pharmacy supplies to maintain stock.
  5. Follow study instructions and sign the study responsibility log.
What you will bring to the role
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
  • Ability to perform duties accurately at a fast pace.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
Your experience
  • Required: 1-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, current PTCB certification, and active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Preferred: IV admixtures certification.
