UHealth System at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Pharmacy Technician 1. The Pharmacy Technician 1 prepares medications for patients under the guidance of a Pharmacist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State of FL registration.
• New Grad/Entry level; no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.
• Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
• Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Refs providers' calls and medical questions to Pharmacist.
• Participates in orientation and assigned training program to attain competency in pharmacy technician duties.
• Stays abreast of basic knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations and standards, pharmacy informatics and technology including medication dispensing systems, and pharmacy calculations.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
