Job summary

A-Line Staffing is hiring Pharmacy Technician 1 in Canal Winchester, OH 43110. This onsite role supports prescription processing, data entry, and order fulfillment in a safety-sensitive environment following HIPAA and quality guidelines.

The position offers $19.00 per hour with a 6-month contract and potential for permanent hire based on attendance and performance. Schedule is 7:30 AM–3:30 PM Tuesday–Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license/registration in good standing.
• PTCB (CPhT) or ExCPT certification preferred or required in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription exceptions (including claim rejects) and complete member/physician outreach.
• Enter patient demographics and prescription information into the system.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues.
• Escalate prescription questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation/direction.
• Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.
• Run automated machinery; sort medications and move inventory through workflow with quality control.
• Count and fill prescriptions; affix labels; pack and ship orders.
• Maintain an orderly work area and help clean/maintain equipment.
• Resolve Third Party Rejects by reviewing issues, correcting, and resubmitting per plan requirements.
• Provide support to Pharmacists in the facility and other locations; communicate issues to senior staff as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned

OVERVIEW

Work onsite in a fulfillment environment supporting prescription processing, data entry, and order fulfillment (count/fill/label/pack/ship) while following HIPAA and quality guidelines.

Pharmacy Technician 1 Compensation

$19.00 per hour

Benefits available after 90 days 401(k) with company match after 1 year of service on eligibility dates

Pharmacy Technician 1 Highlights

Pharmacy Technician 1 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license/registration (in good standing)
• Pharmacy Technician experience (0–2 years; prior retail or fulfillment experience is a plus)
• Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive environment and handling PHI (HIPAA)
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate online systems
• Keyboarding skills (about 25 WPM or more)
• Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Pharmacy Technician 1 Preferred Qualifications

• Active PTCB (CPhT) or ExCPT certification
• 6 months–2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or fulfillment environment
• Ohio technician license with at least 1 year remaining before expiration (preferred)
