Job summary

CSI Pharmacy in Windsor, CT seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, and manage stock and data entry in a fast-paced environment.

On-site position, 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with a compensation range of $20–$25 per hour depending on experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, pharmacy technician training, and state licensing as required; national certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Provide professional, responsive customer service and maintain maximum customer base.
  • Enter data into computer systems and maintain records accurately.
  • Follow oral and written instructions; multi-task with changing directions.
  • Operate computerized programs and email at a high proficiency level.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist and fills stock replacements.
  • Requests drugs and supplies under pharmacist guidance.
  • Orders, receives and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals; ensures security.
  • Maintains an orderly, clean environment for stock and supplies.
  • Enters data into computer system; records prescriptions, orders, requisitions, disbursements.
  • Under pharmacist direction, removes outdated drugs and prepares for return or disposal.
  • Performs general clerical duties for the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will perform many pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and perform administrative functions of the department thatrequiresprofessional judgment and extensive technical training.

Compensation Range : $20 - $25/hr (DOE)

Location : Windsor, CT

Schedule : (On-site) Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist and fills stock replacements.

  • Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.

  • Orders, receives, andmaintainsinventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security.

  • Helpsmaintainan orderly, clean environment including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.

  • Entersdata into the computer system, recording prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.

  • Under direction of pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.

  • Performs general clerical duties for the department.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
