Job summary

GRX Holdings, LLC's Medicap Pharmacy in Waukee, IA, seeks a Pharmacy Technician for 30-40 hours weekly (full-time) or up to 29 hours (part-time).

You will assist the pharmacist under supervision with prescriptions, labeling, inventory, and patient communication, using an online system.

No nights, Sundays or holidays; benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, 401(k) with match, employee discount, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for certified technicians (or $500 for non-certified). Training provided.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician must be nationally certified and registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required; training offered.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and procedures including register performance, security, and confidentiality.
• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve insurance claim issues.
• Measure dosages and fill prescriptions.
• Stock, label medications and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks as assigned.
• Comply with security measures and quality standards.

GRX Holdings, LLC is a fast growing, family-oriented group of independent pharmacies looking for a Full Time 30 - 40 hours per week, or Part Time up to 29 hours per week, Pharmacy Technician to work at our Medicap Pharmacy in Waukee.

We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. You will assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision and in accordance with state and federal regulations, with technical functions in the pharmacy. Such functions may include measuring, counting, labeling, record keeping, and communicating with patients and other healthcare professionals. Ensures customer satisfaction by handling each customer in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner. We are looking for high energy technicians who are motivated, able to multitask and have excellent customer service skills.

Competitive pay rate commensurate with experience. No nights, Sundays, or holidays, and some flexibility in scheduling. Benefits and 401k with a company match, employee discount, and other benefits available. Fulltime positions are offered Medical/Dental/Vision benefits.

Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required, we will train you!

This position is listed as a \"Certified Pharmacy Technician\", however we encourage applications from both certified candidates and those who do not have Pharmacy Technician experience. Please note that compensation for non-certified technician candidates will be considered based on experience and training.

Skills

• Proven experience as pharmacy technician is a plus
• Experience with an online prescription system is a plus
• Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement is a plus

Pharmacy technicians must be nationally certified and registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy. Any person not currently registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy technician trainee must obtain registration prior to commencing employment in an Iowa pharmacy.
