Job summary

Insight Institute of Neuroscience & Neurosurgery (IINN) in Warren, MI seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing pharmaceuticals and documenting medication under the supervision of the acting pharmacist. Flexible schedule typically 10 am–7:30 pm with occasional early starts.

Responsibilities include stocking Pyxis machines, preparing IV products, billing, and maintaining a clean room. Prior pharmacy tech experience and Michigan license preferred; BLS or ability to obtain within 60 days

• Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred

• Fills trays and specialty tackle boxes used by OR/anesthesia staff
• Stocks Pyxis machines and other floor stock areas
• Enrols and trains Pyxis Med Station users
• Orders, receives, and replenishes pharmaceutical stock in the pharmacy
• Prepares pharmaceuticals including IV products
• Maintains a clean room and area per approved protocols
• Prepares billing for pharmaceuticals used by OR, anesthesia staff, and clinic
• Maintains cleanliness of the pharmacy
• Performs unit inspections to meet quality standards
• Participates in weekly Pyxis/PACU controlled substances audits
• Performs other duties as assigned by the staffed pharmacist

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the acting pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will assist in preparing pharmaceuticals and documenting medication. The technician ensures quality standards, monitors medication pricing, bills pharmaceuticals, and provides excellent customer service. The schedule is flexible, usually 10 am to 7:30 pm, with occasional early starts at 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Must be licensed as a pharmacy technician in Michigan with a current active license
• Active BLS certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred
• Able to work in a fast‑paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement
