Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in Virginia. You will verify prescriptions, input data, dispense medications, and support patient care with empathy and precision.

This role emphasizes accurate math, insurance troubleshooting, and inventory control within a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates are CPhT certified and licensed by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy, with advanced computer skills and strong math abilities for data entry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Verify and input prescription information, process prescription requests and dispense medication
• Build trusted relationships with customers by demonstrating patience, empathy and compassion
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for patients
• Maintaining appropriate inventory levels through proper ordering and rotating drugs and other supplies
• Properly handle products and equipment, and maintain accurate logs

Requirements

• Certified pharmacy technician
• Advanced computer skills
• Proficient in basic math to support accurate data entry
