Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Virginia is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team at Potomac Mills. You will verify prescriptions, process requests, and dispense medications while building trusted customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires CPhT with Virginia Board of Pharmacy certification, advanced computer skills, and strong math ability to ensure accurate data entry and billing.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with Virginia Board of Pharmacy certification.
• Strong computer skills are required to support accurate data entry and claims processing.
• Proficient in basic math to support precise data entry and math-related tasks.
• Preferred: experience ordering product and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Verify and input prescription information, process prescription requests and dispense medication
• Build trusted relationships with customers by demonstrating patience, empathy and compassion
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for patients
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through proper ordering and rotating drugs and other supplies
• Properly handle products and equipment, and maintain accurate logs
