Barrington James is seeking a Virginia-registered pharmacy technician to join our compounding team. You will prepare non-sterile compounded medications from prescriptions and master formulation records, maintaining accuracy and lab cleanliness.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Virginia pharmacy technician registration, or the ability to obtain one.
• Non-sterile compounding experience strongly preferred; retail or hospital technicians looking to move into compounding will be considered.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy over speed.
• Reliable, punctual and dependable as part of a small team.
• Positive, coachable attitude and willingness to pitch in across the pharmacy.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification, or sterile/cleanroom experience (USP 797), a plus.

• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients accurately in line with USP 795 standards
• Complete batch records and compounding documentation accurately and on time
• Keep the compounding lab clean, organized and inspection-ready
• Label, package and stage finished preparations for pharmacist verification
• Support wider pharmacy workflow as needed, including prescription entry, phones and patient pick-ups
• Work closely with pharmacists and the compounding team to meet daily production and turnaround targets
