Job summary

OnePoint Patient Care is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Technician in Tempe, AZ to support a hospice-focused, closed-door pharmacy environment. The role emphasizes accuracy in labeling, compounding non-sterile medications, inventory management, and professional communication with healthcare providers and patients.

The ideal candidate will have a state-required Pharmacy Technician license, hospital or pharmacy setting experience, and strong computer skills to enter prescriptions and generate

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management, including checking stock and removing expired medications.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new pharmacy staff.
• Perform specialized tasks that may include narcotics room, automated machines, IV medications, Omnicell.

Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Saturday 8:00am - 6:00pm

As a Pharmacy Technician you will:

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management, including checking stock and removing expired medications.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new pharmacy staff.
• Perform specialized tasks that may include:
• Working in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room.
• Operating automated machines to prepack medications.
• Mixing IV medications and sanitizing IV room/equipment.
• Servicing facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., Omnicell).
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
• Position will be posted for a minimum of 7 business day
