Job summary

OnePoint Patient Care in Miramar, FL, is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to join our non-retail hospice pharmacy team. You will fill prescriptions, prepare compounds, label, and assist with daily operations in a controlled environment.

The role offers training, advancement opportunities, benefits, and license fee coverage for new hires and current staff. Schedule includes PRN daytime shifts, with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management, including checking stock and removing expired medications.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new pharmacy staff.
• Perform specialized tasks that may include narcotics room work.
• Operate automated machines to prepack medications.
• Mix IV medications and sanitizing IV room/equipment.
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (Omnicell).
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
