Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacy professional dedicated to patient care and excellent service. You will retrieve medications, input patient data into the dispensing system, and ensure accurate labeling and claims adjudication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Retail/community pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medications from inventory and prepare prescriptions.
• Enter customer and prescription data into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork for prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order medications for the Pharmacy Department and stock shelves.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services.
• Prioritize workload and maintain a clean, confidential environment.

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.

• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
