Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacy professional to support daily operations in our in-store pharmacy. You will retrieve medications, process prescriptions, and ensure accurate labeling and insurance adjudication, while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, organization, and a commitment to patient care in a retail setting. Experience in retail pharmacy and strong communication are valued. Training is provided to support growth.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required as per state requirements.
• Retail/Community practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and a positive attitude are essential.
• Proficient typing and neat/legible handwriting are expected.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medications from inventory.
• Input customer and prescription data in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for Pharmacy Department.
• Stock medications and maintain a clean, professional pharmacy area.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritize workload and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
