Job summary

Noble Community Clinics in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing, medication preparation, and medication delivery within a team-focused, community-centered setting.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate dispensing, maintain inventory, and provide exceptional patient service in a Federally Qualified Health Center environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • PTCB certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of prescription processing, medication handling, storage, labeling, and pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, process, prepare, and fill prescription orders.
  • Read and interpret medication orders from providers.
  • Review and update patient profiles in the pharmacy EMR system.
  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and final verification.
  • Package, repackage, and label medications according to standards.
  • Assist patients with tele-pharmacy consultations as needed.

Are you a Pharmacy Technician who enjoys helping patients, working as part of a collaborative healthcare team, and making a meaningful difference in the community?

Noble Community Clinics is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team! In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support prescription processing and medication preparation, provide exceptional patient service, maintain pharmacy inventory, and help ensure safe, efficient pharmacy operations.

What You'll Do

Medication Preparation & Dispensing

  • Accurately enter, process, prepare, and fill prescription orders.
  • Read and interpret medication orders from providers.
  • Review and update patient profiles in the pharmacy EHR/EMR system.
  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and final verification.
  • Package, repackage, and label medications according to pharmacy standards.
  • Assist patients with tele-pharmacy consultations as needed.

Pharmacy Operations & Inventory

  • Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory and medication supplies.
  • Monitor medication availability and place orders as needed.
  • Ensure medications, including controlled substances, are properly stored and handled.
  • Monitor and remove expired medications.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient pharmacy environment.

Patient Care & Customer Service

  • Provide friendly, professional service to patients in person and by phone.
  • Triage and prioritize patient requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare, administer, and document vaccines as permitted by law and organizational policy.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, pharmacists, and other team members.

Delivery Support

  • Assist with medication delivery preparation and route planning as needed.
  • Verify patient identity and obtain required signatures during deliveries.
  • Provide backup delivery-driver support when needed.

Quality & Compliance

  • Follow federal and Wisconsin pharmacy regulations and organizational policies.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CDC, infection control, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement and continuous improvement activities.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional team environment.
What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • PTCB certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of prescription processing, medication handling, storage, labeling, and pharmacy regulations.

Preferred:

  • At least one year of recent retail, clinic-based, or community pharmacy experience.
  • Experience with pharmacy systems such as Pioneer, Willow, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of medication calculations and pharmacy operations.
