Job summary

UW Medicine's UW Medical Center - Northwest Pharmacy Department is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient for a full-time, evening shift (40 hours/week). You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to procure, package, dispense medications and prepare sterile products.

Responsibilities include restocking storage areas, refilling automated dispensing devices, packaging unit doses, and triaging clinical calls.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited/approved pharmacy technician training program.
• State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification.

Position Highlights

• Perform a variety of pharmaceutical tasks under the general supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist
• Engage in accurate and timely medication procurement, medication packaging and dispensing, filling medication orders, and preparing compounded sterile products
• Promote appropriate, safe, and effective medication use

UW Medicine's Pharmacy Department provides high-quality and comprehensive pharmacy services to our patients and providers. Our team of specially trained pharmacists and technicians work closely with doctors and nurses to ensure our patients receive the best medication therapy for their condition.
