Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work under a licensed pharmacist. The role involves sterile compounding, IV admixtures, labeling, and ensuring product integrity.

You will help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and assist in inventory control and shipping of medications. The candidate should have experience in IV compounding or training, and a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of IV compounding experience and/or training.
• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in maintaining federal, state and local laws, accrediting body standards, and Policies and Procedures (P&Ps).
• Performs IV admixtures sterility testing and maintains documentation.
• Assist in preparation and labeling of medications as allowed by law.
• Prepare sterile parenteral products following aseptic technique and checks by pharmacists.
• Ensure proper labeling and correct product matching to compounding documents.
• Conduct quality control and sterility testing on compounded products.
• Maintain inventory levels and perform regular physical inventories.
• Order, receive and store medications and supplies; maintain pharmacy records.
• Maintain DME and equipment, including cleaning and calibration.
• Document activities and logs; communicate with healthcare team.
• Participate in Performance Improvement and QA activities; complete mandatory training.

Job Summary:Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician helps to prepare medications with sterile compounding, maintains the compounding area and equipment, and monitors inventory. Also facilitating the shipment or delivery of medications to patients and providers.Job Duties:Assists the pharmacist in maintaining federal, state and local laws, accrediting body standards, and Policies and Procedures (P&Ps).Performs IV admixtures sterility testing in accordance with policy, maintains appropriate documentation.Assists the pharmacists in the preparation and labeling of medications as allowed by law.Prepares sterile parenteral following appropriate aseptic technique and obtaining required checks by pharmacists andAppropriate assembly of drugs and supplies by matching codes and quantities from the compounding document,Correct labeling of product,Checking the final product for the absence of particulate matter and container integrity andEnsuring compounded product gets matched to the right delivery just prior to shipping.Conducts quality control and sterility testing.Assists the pharmacist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.Orders, receives and stores medications and supplies.Performs physical inventories according to (P&Ps).Maintains pharmacy records including filing and documenting required information on dispensing records.Maintains and tracks DME and other equipment including cleaning and calibration activities.Cleans work areas routinely in accordance with policies and procedures.Communicates appropriately with all members of the healthcare team.Documents appropriately according to AristaCare P&Ps, all activities using required paperwork (logs).Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities education programs and department/branch meetings.Serves as Process Owner as assigned.Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programsPerform other duties as assignedEducational Requirements:Minimum: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred: Pharmacy Technician or related certificationExperience:One year of IV compounding experience and/or training’ or equivalent combination of education and experience
