Job summary

TCI Technology Consulting Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician in Santa Teresa, NM. This on-site contract-to-hire role supports pharmacists with prescription filling, IV prep, and inventory management.

You will assist in data entry for reimbursement, prepackage meds, and coordinate delivery post-check. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential, with flexible shifts 8am–9pm, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred warehousing or distribution inventory experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician licenses, if required by State Board.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn product codes.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under supervision.
• Enter data into the computer system with Billing Supervisor to obtain reimbursement.
• Prepackages medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist pharmacist in final checking and delivery coordination.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and calibrate/clean equipment.

Job description

TCI has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Santa Teresa, NM. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by individual State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, required.
• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
• Shift requirements: Must be available for flexible shift throughout the week during the hours of 8am-9pm, including weekends.
