Pick 'n Save in Wisconsin is seeking a pharmacy clerk to provide exceptional customer service and support the pharmacy team. You will handle reception, data entry, billing, and medication dispensing tasks under supervision, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of safety and accuracy.

You will assist with ordering, inventory, cash handling, and answering inquiries, ensuring a clean, organized work area and a positive, inclusive environment for customers and colleagues.

Formación

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED, must be 18+, handle highly confidential information, meet state requirements for the role.
• Desirable: any previous comparable experience or pharmacy clerk experience, EPRN familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation and safety regulations and programs; identify unsafe conditions.
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Follow guidelines on inventory management, control, and ordering of medications, devices, supplements and supplies.
• Maintain departmental standards and keep work stations and waiting areas clean and organized.
• Complete billing procedures and ensure best value to customer and company.
• Answer phone, triage calls and respond to inquiries.
• Follow guidelines on accepting vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrink.
• Operate cash register and adhere to cashier policies for loss prevention; process EFTs, cash and checks.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring professional judgment.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Handle legend orders and Central Fill deliveries.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflict professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
• Comply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers
• Understand and follow the company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements and supplies
• Maintain departmental standards including keeping clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas
• Count, measure and prepare specified product using company best practices
• Complete billing procedures adequately to assure best value to the customer and the company
• Answer phone and triage calls and answer inquiries as appropriate
• Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages and company shrink guidelines
• Understand and follow the company guidelines on the operation of the cash register and follow all cashier handling policies to prevent loss including tendering electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check transactions
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgement
• Understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and the company’s policies regarding the same
• Support company health and wellness initiatives
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
