Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group’s family, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health pharmacy. Primary duties include dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, processing orders, and maintaining inventory with clerical support while ensuring adherence to federal and state requirements.

Hours include Mon-Fri with varying start times, lunch breaks, and shift coverage as described.

Qualifications

  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinics.
  • Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
  • Receives, processes, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records in the computer system.
  • Supports pharmacy functions and remains compliant with federal and state requirements.
  • Performs clerical duties related to the department.

  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned

We seek aPharmacy Technicianto support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.


Hours:

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am-5:00pm, Wednesdays from 8:30am-6:00pm and Fridays from 8:30am-4:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm


Primary Responsibilities:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
