Ardent Health Services in Pocatello, ID is seeking a day shift, full-time Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing operations and pharmacy workflows under supervision.

You will complete onboarding, training, and annual competencies, assist in compounding non-sterile medications per USP guidelines, restock inventory, and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment. Preferred candidates have hospital experience, CPhT certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by the state of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and support pharmacy operations.
  • Complete onboarding, training, and annual competencies to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Trained in compounding of non-sterile medications per USP 795 and other regulations and policies.
  • Accurately restock and replenish pharmacy inventory from orders and returns.
  • Maintain the pharmacy in a neat, organized, and clean state; restock supplies as needed.
  • Remove and segregate expired, damaged, or compromised medications from active inventory.
  • Maintain documentation of activities per policy and file records neatly.
  • Assist in training newly hired pharmacy technicians.
  • Prepare sterile intravenous admixtures aseptically per USP 797/800 and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • The pharmacy technician I, u under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations. Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality. Does related work, as required.
  • Complete all onboarding, training, and annual competencies to meet regulatory agencies and organizational requirements.
  • Trained in the compounding of non-sterile medications in accordance with USP 795 and other regulatory agencies and organizational policies.
  • Accurately restock and replenish the pharmacy with inventory from orders as well as medications received from returns from the floor or automated dispensing machines.
  • Maintain the pharmacy in a neat, organized, and clean manner, restocking areas with supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all expired, damaged, or compromised medication in the pharmacy, automated machines, and floor stock are removed and segregated from active inventory.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of activities in accordance with policy, and file appropriate documentation records in a neat and retrievable manner.
  • Assist in training of newly hired pharmacy technicians.
  • P Repare sterile intravenous admixtures aseptically and in accordance with USP 797/800, State Board of Pharmacy regulations, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by the state of employment.
Preferred Job Requirements:
  • 1 year of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience.
  • National Certification (CPhT) (may be required by the state of employment).
  • Current BLS.
