Job summary
PharMerica is hiring full-time Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians in Phoenix, AZ to support long-term care and senior living communities. You will enter and process medication orders, verifying information and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Working with pharmacists and operations teams, you’ll handle data entry, basic calculations, and claims follow-up while delivering excellent service and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Arizona Pharmacy Technician license or trainee status is required.
- PTCB certification pursued within 6 months of hire with company support.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Enter and verify medication orders with high accuracy.
- Perform basic drug calculations and dosage conversions.
- Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials and follow up in POS systems.
- Stay compliant with Medicaid regulations and processing rules.
- Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate management reports.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist pharmacists as needed.
- Support medication preparation and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.

- Friday–Tuesday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:40 PM (rotating weekends)
- Saturday–Sunday: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
- Midday Shift (+$1.00/hr Shift Differential after 12:30pm)
- Monday–Friday: 10:30 AM–7:00 PM (alternating weekends)
- Sunday–Thursday: 11:30 AM–8:00 PM
