Role Description

The Pharmacy Technician role at Centennial Pharmacy Services is a full-time, on-site position based in Philadelphia ,PA. The Pharmacy Technician will support medication dispensing operations by processing prescriptions, preparing medications, labeling and packaging orders, and assisting pharmacists with clinical and administrative tasks. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient and prescription records, coordinating refills, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role also involves inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical supplies to prevent shortages and ensure product integrity. The Pharmacy Technician will provide customer service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners, addressing inquiries with professionalism and helping to support Centennial’s adherence and quality-of-care goals.

Qualifications
  • Ability to accurately process and manage prescriptions, including data entry, verification, and preparation of medication orders.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and best practices, with experience working in a pharmacy environment or similar healthcare setting.
  • Competence as a Pharmacy Technician, including familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and adherence-focused workflows.
  • Skills in inventory control and stock management, ensuring medications and supplies are properly ordered, stored, and tracked.
  • Strong customer service skills for interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners in a clear, respectful, and professional manner.
  • State-specific Pharmacy Technician certification or registration (as required in Pennsylvania), and high school diploma or equivalent; formal technician training or related coursework preferred.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow standardized procedures in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer and pharmacy software proficiency, with the ability to learn new systems and document information accurately.
