PanCare of Florida is seeking a reliable Pharmacy Technician to support safe and accurate medication dispensing while assisting patients with prescription needs. This role is located at the Panama City Pharmacy, with duties spanning from greeting patients to billing inquiries.

The ideal candidate will hold an Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license and have experience with pharmacy software, billing systems, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Knowledge of basic pharmacy terminology and workflows.
• Experience with pharmacy software and billing systems preferred.
• Professional communication and customer service skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with prescription inquiries, refills, and OTC recommendations.
• Support pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing.
• Verify prescription information for accuracy in dosage and patient details.
• Process refill requests and maintain patient medication records.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, restocking, and ordering supplies.
• Keep workspace clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist with prescription billing, insurance claims, and payment questions.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and recordkeeping.
• Support daily workflows to ensure timely patient service.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Greet patients and assist with prescription inquiries, refills, and over-the-counter recommendations
• Support Pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
• Verify prescription information and ensure accuracy in dosage, patient details, and documentation
• Process refill requests and maintain accurate patient medication records
• Manage pharmacy inventory, restocking, and supply ordering
• Keep the pharmacy workspace clean, organized, and compliant with storage and safety requirements
• Assist with prescription billing, insurance claim processing, and payment questions
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, recordkeeping, and operational standards
• Support daily pharmacy workflows to help ensure smooth, timely patient service

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license
• Knowledge of basic pharmacy terminology, workflows, and medication handling
• Experience with pharmacy software, electronic documentation, and billing systems
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years experience in a pharmacy or retail pharmacy environment
• At least 1 year experience of pharmacy billing, insurance systems, and EHR
