Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with prescription inquiries, refills, and OTC recommendations
• Support Pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
• Verify prescription information and ensure accuracy in dosage and patient details
• Process refill requests and maintain patient medication records
• Manage pharmacy inventory, restocking, and supply ordering
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and compliant with storage and safety requirements
• Assist with prescription billing and insurance claim processing
• Maintain compliance with regulations, recordkeeping, and operational standards
• Support daily workflows to ensure timely patient service

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license

Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, workflows, and medication handling

Experience with pharmacy software, electronic documentation, and billing systems

PanCare of Florida is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. In this role, you will support safe and accurate medication dispensing, assist patients with prescription needs, and help maintain efficient daily pharmacy operations. This position is located at our Chipley Pharmacy.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Greet patients and assist with prescription inquiries, refills, and over-the-counter recommendations
• Support Pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
• Verify prescription information and ensure accuracy in dosage, patient details, and documentation
• Process refill requests and maintain accurate patient medication records
• Manage pharmacy inventory, restocking, and supply ordering
• Keep the pharmacy workspace clean, organized, and compliant with storage and safety requirements
• Assist with prescription billing, insurance claim processing, and payment questions
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, recordkeeping, and operational standards
• Support daily pharmacy workflows to help ensure smooth, timely patient service

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license
• Knowledge of basic pharmacy terminology, workflows, and medication handling
• Experience with pharmacy software, electronic documentation, and billing systems
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years experience in a pharmacy or retail pharmacy environment
• At least 1 year experience of pharmacy billing, insurance systems, and EHR
