MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications and providing quality patient care.

The role involves greeting patients, answering questions, maintaining inventory, labeling and preparing medications, and ensuring accurate documentation in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed as Pharmacy Technician in the state assigned.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Federal, State and CARF standards and regulations.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Ability to work effectively within medical hierarchy and autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in person and by phone; answer questions and refer inquiries to the pharmacist.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory; place orders; verify receipts; remove outdated drugs.
  • Prepare labels; assemble medications and IV solutions; calculate quantities.
  • Maintain records by filing physicians' orders and prescriptions; ensure compliant documentation.
  • Deliver medications to patients and departments; support billing/charges.

Description

Part-Time -Pharmacy Technician

MedMark Treatment Centers is looking for a compassionateand customerservice orientedPharmacy technician towork alongwith the pharmacist to provide medication and other health care products to patients.Technicians usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles.

Responsibilities
  • Helpshealth care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock todetermineinventory level;anticipatingneeded medications and supplies; placing andexpeditingorders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy bycomplying withprocedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Organizes medications forpharmacistto dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
  • Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
  • Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
  • Ensuresmedication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
  • Preparesreports by collecting and summarizing information.
  • Contributesto team effort byaccomplishingrelated results as needed.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others.
  • Must be present during working hours at the office forin personmeetings and access to a computer without violating company policy.
  • Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum age requirement of 18.
  • Currently licensed asPharmacyTechnician in the State where assigned.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State and CARF standards and regulations.
  • Proven excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation and computer skillsrequired.
  • Knowledge of local community drug trends, the effects on the body and cognitive functioning of drugs of abuse, signs and symptoms of narcotic overdose, psychosocial implications of addictive disease, the process of addiction and treatment, social service, economic, legal, and medical systems, HIV transmission-health, behavioral, and emotional implications of addiction.
  • Ability to work effectively within medical hierarchy,assistin complex problem solving with clients, and work autonomously.
  • Exhibitsgood timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population andexhibitexcellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Code of Pharmacy Regulations in the Statewhereassigned
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
