The base hourly rate is $19.64, with compensation influenced by experience and shift differentials; a comprehensive benefits program is included for qualifying positions, and a holiday/weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Indiana Tech-in-Training permit required within 28 days of hire unless already have an Indiana Pharmacy Technician License.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required within 6 months of hire unless already have an Indiana Pharmacy Technician License (or Indiana State Board of Pharmacy approved equivalent).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Job description

What you need to know about this position:

• Round-the-clock, the department servicing every area of patient care within the hospital with more than 45 dynamic workers consisting of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• All technicians are nationally certified, or will obtain certification within one year of hire.
• Duties encompass all aspects of the medication distribution system, including, but not limited to, procurement, preparation, delivery, returning, restocking, and quality assurance checks.
• The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist to ensure that the right drug is in the right place at the right time for the right patient.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $19.64. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This position will require you to work a combination of shifts, both 7:00am-3:30pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm, with a holiday and weekend rotation.
