River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for an experienced part time Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team in Montrose, Colorado. The Pharmacy Technician supports the clinical and operational functions of the community clinic by assisting the pharmacy team in the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of medications. This role plays a critical part in medication access and affordability initiatives, including optimization of River Valley's 340B Drug Pricing Program. The Pharmacy Technician ensures accurate medication dispensing workflows, supports inventory control, coordinates patient medication assistance, and helps maintain regulatory compliance to enhance patient care outcomes.

Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs a wide range of technical duties, including preparing and processing medication orders, coordinating refill requests, documenting medication histories, reconciling inventory, and more.

This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are exposed to blood, body fluids, and other occupational hazards, and are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
